Antonio Henson Abad,
Jr.
Received his Ll.B. degree from the Far Eastern University in 1963 where he graduated with honors (Cum Laude). He received his Associate in Arts from the University of the Philippines in (1959). He was a 10th placer in the Philippine Bar Examinations and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1963. He was a Bar Examiner in Labor Law and Social Legislation, 1999 Bar Examination. He was a former Dean of the Far Eastern University Institute of Law. He was a Legal Consultant of Senators Anna Dominique Coseteng and Orlando Mercado and the Senate Committee on Labor, Employment and Human Resources Development, 10th Congress of the Philippines and the Senate Committee on Rules, Congress of the Philippines, respectively. He was a member of the Task Force to Study Private Higher Education, Department of Education, Culture and Sports in 1988-1992. A member of the Supreme Court Committee which drafted the Code of Judicial Ethics in 1989. Co-Chairman on the Committee on Land-Locked States, 58th Conference of the International Law Association. He holds present positions as a practicing lawyer in the following companies: Antonio H. Abad & Associates, Managing Partner; Universal Motors Corporation, Vice-President for Administration; Star Motor Manufacturing Industries, Inc., Vice-President for Legal Affairs; FEU-Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, Member, Board of Trustees; Southwaters Marina, Country Club & Farm, Inc., Corporate Secretary. He likewise holds present positions as a member of the academe of the following: University of Regina Carmeli, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; School of Manpower in Auto-Assembly Research & Technology (SMART), President; Philippine Association of Colleges & Universities (PACU), Vice-President for Legal Affairs; Ateneo de Manila University, Law Professorial Lecturer; Bar Reviewer in Labor & Commercial Law in the following Universities and Centers: Far Eastern University Institute of Law; Ateneo de Manila University; Adamson University College of Law; and the Metropolitan Review Center; He is a Lecturer in the U.P. Law Center. He is a WILL Faculty member of U.P. SOLAIR. He holds positions in various professional organizations as President and Vice-President of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (Q.C. Chapter) in 1993-1995 and 1991-1993, respectively; Executive Vice-President, Philippine Association of Law professors, 1990-1991; President, Philippine Association of Law Schools, 1988-1989. He, likewise, holds positions in various civic organizations as President of the Rotary Club of Diliman, R.I. District 3780, RY 1997-98; Past Secretary, FEU Law Alumni Association and Past Secretary & Member of the Board of Directors, Junior Chamber of Quezon City, Inc. (Capitol Jaycees), among others. He is a member of the Upsilon Sigma Phi Fraternity and of the Confraternity of Aztecs.

Received her Ll.B. degree from the University of the Philippines in 1990 and was a first place recipient of the Sabido Foundation Award for Best Legal Research Paper in the same year. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the same university in 1986. She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1991. From 1991 to 1993, she worked with the law firm of Puruganan Chato Chato Tarriela and Tan where she was exposed to the various practices of the Firm. She was an Associate Legal Consultant for Labor Affairs of Sen. Anna Dominique Coseteng as Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Labor, Employment and Human Resources Development, 10th Congress of the Philippines in 1995; as well as Associate Legal Consultant on Bill Drafting with the Office of Congresswoman Adelisa Almario Raymundo, Sectoral Representative for Labor, 1990-1991. From the period 1990-1998, she was an Incorporator and Trustee of the Women’s Legal Bureau, Inc., a non-governmental organization (NGO) established for purposes of providing legal services to women with specific cases on gender discrimination issues (battered spouses, rape, etc.), as well as policy advocacy and research. She is presently the Treasurer and Foundation Member/ Incorporator of Child Justice League, a non-governmental organization (NGO) established for purposes of advancing the interests of children and contribute to national development efforts through the establishment of an institution that offer facilitative legal recourse as a response to child-related concerns and empowers children through legal education; and promotes greater understanding of children’s issues in the national community. She is currently a lecturer at the Far Eastern University College of Law teaching Labor Relations Law, and a senior lecturer at the University of the Philippines (Diliman), College of Education Graduate Studies, Institute of Education Administration where she is teaching Special Legal Issues Concerning Educational Institutions (Masteral and Doctorate Degrees). Her professional affiliations are: Member, Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Quezon City Chapter; Member, Federacion International de Abogadas (FIDA); Member, U.P. Women’s Lawyer’s Circle (WILOCI); Member, Women’s Legal Bureau Volunteer Lawyers Network; President/Chairperson, University of the Philippines Integrated School Batch 1982 Alumni Association (1997 to present), and a member of the Alpha Phi Omega International Collegiate Service Sorority.

She joined the Supreme Court of the Philippines in 1992 until 1994 where she was a Judicial Officer at the Presidential Electoral Tribunal under the office of Justice Isagani A. Cruz. She later joined the firm of Cayanga Zuñiga & Angel from 1994 to 1996 where she was honed on corporate, realty and property laws practice.

Josine Ruth Remorca MercadoReceived her J.D. degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1996. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Sto. Tomas in 1991. She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1997. She recently completed the requirements leading to a degree in Masters of Law (LLm) from the University of British Columbia Vancouver, Canada.

Catherine Cruz CunananReceived her Ll.B. degree from the Far Eastern University Institute of Law in 2000. She obtained her Master of Arts in Social Science (Completed Academic Requirements with Comprehensive Exams) in 1995 at the Philippine Normal University where she also finished her BSEED degree, cum laude. She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2002. She was a Faculty Member of Xavier School, Greenhills, San Juan from 1993 to 2000;San Beda College, grade school from 1991 to 1993; She was a Member of UNESCO- Philippines and a Coordinator of UNESCO, San Beda College; Member, Think Clean/Think Green. Also an author of an Elementary Science book series, Rex bookstore.
